What is in Oldfather Studios?

Oldfather houses the Film half of the Department of Theatre & Film. The building formerly housed Centron Studios, a company that specialized in Educational and Industrial Films. In it's heyday through the 1950s and 60s Centron was one of the top five "Educational/Industrial" film studios in the country. The Building was purchased by the University in 1991 with the help of a donation from Charles and Hortense Oldfather. The building features one of the largest soundstages in the area, sound recording rooms, film and video editing rooms, an animation lab, classrooms, and offices. You can contact the desk at Oldfather by calling (785) 864-1340. Film & Media Studies Oldfather building information
