What was the International House?

After careful consideration, we have decided to close the International House and are no longer accepting reservations. The physical condition of the house had become a safety concern and was starting to significantly impact the comfort of our guests. Unfortunately, the costs associated with the structural repairs and updates was simply beyond our means. The house served a much-needed purpose for the last 11 years and we would like to thank everyone who used the house for an international guest. We would also like to give special thanks to Tom and Jann Rudkin and Jill Kleinberg, whose contributions made the International House possible. Dean Diana Carlin opened the house in 2007 and it has served us well ever since. International visiting scholars are encouraged to visit our website for information on housing options on campus and in the Lawrence community.
