What is that giant iron sphere down by the river, next to the parking garage?

"The Sphere" as it has been dubbed is actually a remnant of the old Lawrence Paper Company. It was used to mix pulp materials to make cardboard. As it turns out it makes an interesting sculpture as well. For more information click here.
