How cool is Paul Pierce?

Very cool. Paul Pierce played for KU from '95 to '98. Depending on who you talk to, he is considered either the second or third most successful NBA player from KU. He is certainly second to Wilt and possibly third to Jo Jo White (also a Celtic). Go back a bit farther, and Clyde Lovellete would compete pretty well for the second or third position. Clyde is the only Jayhawk besides Wilt in the hall of fame. But Paul is very cool not just because he's a good baller. He is cool because he stuck with one franchise for the majority of his career (Celtics from 1998-2013, Nets 2013-2014, Wizards 2014-2015, Clippers 2015-2016) and won the 2008 NBA Finals for the Celtics and was voted MVP. He did all this in a year that was already pretty extraordinary for KU athletics. And the last time the Celtics won a b-ball championship was a year before the last time KU won one!!
