How can I get involved with my residence hall (dorm)/scholarship hall/on-campus apartment complex in Housing?

There are so many ways for you to get involved! No matter where you live on-campus, you can apply to become a member of NRHH, the National Residence Hall Honorary! This organization represents the top 1% of student leaders in on-campus housing, built on the four pillars of Leadership, Recognition, Scholarship, and Service. You can e-mail them at kansasnrhh@gmail.com.

Residence Halls aurh@ku.edu - Join your hall council! - Join AURH (Association of University Residence Halls)!  - Become an RA (Resident Assistant)! - Become a "deskie" (Desk Assistant)!

Scholarship Halls kuashc@gmail.com - Run for a hall officer position! - Become a member of the O-Team (Orientation Team)! - Run for an ASHC Exec position (All Scholarship Hall Council)! - Become a Proctor/FMB (Food Board Manager)! - Apply to work at CCC (Crawford Community Center)!

Jayhawker Towers jtta@ku.edu - Join APLA (Apartment Living Association)! - Apply to be an Office Assistant! - Apply to be an RA (Resident Assistant)!

Stouffer Place spa@ku.edu - Attend SPA meetings (Stouffer Place Association)! - Become an RA (Resident Assistant)!

But you don't just have to be in a leadership position to be involved with your Housing community! Attending events on your floor, complex, on Daisy Hill, and beyond will make sure you are meeting lots of new people and having lots of fun with your on-campus family. Plus many floors/halls get together to form basketball camping groups, intramural teams, and other group bonding adventures like that. Many people in Student Housing are also involved as OAs (Orientation Assistants), PAs (Peer Advisors), SUA members (Student Union Activities), Student Ambassadors, and more, so you're sure to find people involved with other organizations that you are interested in. Have fun! --Sam Benson, Superstar from 2011 - 2014
