When did Lew Perkins resign?

Lew Perkins' retirement became official on September 7, 2010. Here is the press release. He initially announced that his last day would be Sept. 4th, 2011 after he and Chancellor Gray-Little agreed to shorten the contract from its original end date of June 30, 2015.
